Policy version 24 October 2026
Applies to processing from publication of this version.
1 Who we are and what this Policy covers
It covers swarnjal.com, customer accounts, enquiries, purchases, delivery, returns, warranties and service, including related communication by email, telephone, contact forms, WhatsApp and social channels. It also covers information under our control from a Company-operated app or connected feature that you actually use. A feature-specific notice may explain additional information or permissions before that processing begins.
This Policy applies to our handling of existing and newly collected information. It does not retrospectively authorize a new purpose. Independent marketplaces, banks, payment services and social platforms have their own privacy practices for information they control; our responsibility continues for information processed by us or on our behalf.
2 Information we collect
The information depends on your interaction and the features you use. Relevant categories include:
We receive information directly from you, through the relevant website or feature, and from providers involved in your interaction, such as a marketplace, payment service, courier or messaging platform. A reference to a category or integration does not mean that every feature is enabled or that every item is collected from every visitor.
Please provide information relevant to the request and avoid unnecessary information about other people. If you provide a delivery recipient’s or representative’s details, make sure you are entitled to do so and make this Policy available to them.
3 Why we use information
We collect and use information for lawful purposes connected with the relevant interaction, including to:
Collection and use must be necessary and proportionate to the stated purpose. A good-faith complaint or unfavourable review does not by itself justify a fraud investigation or unrestricted collection. Photographs or video can assist a product claim; an unboxing video is not a compulsory condition for a statutory remedy.
4 Consent and optional information
We provide relevant information about collection and obtain consent where required, including applicable consent for sensitive personal information. We do not treat merely reading this Policy, visiting the website or buying a product as blanket permission for unrelated processing or marketing.
You may decline optional information or withdraw consent by writing to us, including by email. Where particular information is genuinely necessary for a requested transaction or feature, we will explain any practical effect of not providing it or withdrawing the relevant consent. This does not automatically remove a valid refund, warranty or other legal right, or affect processing that law independently requires or permits.
A materially different purpose requires the notice and permission applicable to it. Existing information will not be repurposed merely because a later version of this Policy is published.
5 Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar technologies can support functions such as a shopping basket, account sessions, security and preferences. Analytics or advertising technologies, where enabled, may process device identifiers and information about interactions to measure use or campaign performance. Embedded content or an external sign-in feature may also involve the relevant provider.
Where consent is required for optional technologies, they must follow the applicable consent choice. You can use available website or provider controls and your browser settings to manage cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may affect checkout or account functions. Removing a cookie does not necessarily remove information already recorded by us or an independent provider.
Contact us if you need information about the technologies relevant to your interaction or help exercising a choice. This Policy does not replace any consent control or additional disclosure required for a particular tool.
6 When information is shared
We may provide the information reasonably needed for a permitted purpose to the following recipients, subject to applicable consent, confidentiality, security and legal requirements:
Providers acting on our behalf may process information only within their authorized role and applicable obligations. Where a provider independently controls information, its own notice and rights process also apply. Calling a recipient a third party does not remove a responsibility that remains ours.
Disclosure of sensitive personal information requires the applicable prior permission, agreed contractual provision or legal exception. Sensitive personal information collected for a private transaction or support request is not published by us.
This Policy does not authorize the sale or rental of personal information or its disclosure for an unrelated party’s independent marketing. A confidentiality concern or commercial preference alone does not authorize disclosure that law or binding platform terms prohibit.
7 Connected platforms and automated support
If you use an available Google, Facebook, Instagram, Meta or other connection, we use the information made available for the disclosed function and permitted purposes. We follow the relevant permissions and platform restrictions. We do not claim that every listed connection is implemented. Platform information is subject to any stricter limits on use, sharing, retention or deletion imposed by the provider.
You can remove a connection through the provider’s available controls. Removing access, or deleting a WhatsApp conversation from your own device, does not necessarily delete our existing records. Use the deletion process in section 12 for information we hold.
Where a support channel uses automated or AI-assisted tools, the messages and attachments you submit may be processed by authorized providers to answer or route the enquiry and support human follow-up. Any required channel-specific disclosure or permission applies. This does not authorize unrelated marketing, unrestricted provider reuse or general-purpose model training. Binding platform restrictions continue to apply. You can contact our support team to request human review; an automated response does not change an enforceable purchase promise or legal entitlement.
8 Service messages and marketing choices
We may contact you through the details supplied for an order, enquiry or service to provide relevant transaction, delivery, safety, warranty or complaint updates. Promotional messages require the consent or other lawful basis applicable to the channel and use.
You may ask us to stop marketing without closing your account, using an available unsubscribe or opt-out option or by contacting info@swarnjal.com. We honour applicable withdrawals and preferences. Necessary lawful transaction, safety or legal communications may continue.
Where lawful, we may keep a minimal suppression record to ensure your marketing preference remains respected. That record will not be used to restart marketing or for unrelated profiling.
9 Security and sensitive information
We take reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and processing risk, including limiting access to authorized people and providers who need it for a permitted purpose. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. This qualification does not exclude a security duty or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.
Use the designated account and payment interfaces for authentication or payment. Customer support does not require your passwords, payment PINs, card security codes or login or payment one-time passwords. An account password should be entered only into the intended secure account interface. A delivery verification code should be used only for the intended delivery transaction.
Do not send Aadhaar, PAN or other identity-document scans with an initial privacy request. If additional verification is necessary, we will explain the need and an appropriate method, using less intrusive alternatives where available. A suspected privacy or security issue can be reported through the contact details below; we will assess it and make notifications required by applicable law.
10 Processing outside India
Services used for hosting, communications, payment or support may involve processing outside your location. Any transfer must comply with applicable law, required protections and binding platform restrictions. Where the sensitive-information transfer requirements apply, the recipient must provide the required level of protection, and the transfer must be necessary for performance of the lawful contract or supported by the consent required for it.
This Policy does not promise that all information or every backup is located in India. You may contact us for information relevant to a particular service or transfer.
11 Retention and backups
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for its permitted purpose or an applicable legal or binding requirement. Relevant criteria include the type of record, the requested service, applicable accounting or tax duties, a specific legal hold or claim, and binding platform limits. A business preference alone does not justify indefinite retention.
After a deletion request, limited retention may be necessary for legally required invoices or tax records; minimum information lawfully needed to complete an outstanding order, refund, warranty or service you requested; an actual legal claim, legal hold or specific fraud investigation; or a minimal request, compliance or preference record where lawful. An outstanding transaction does not justify retaining an entire profile or unrelated messages.
We restrict retained information to its permitted purpose and delete it when the lawful basis and retention period end. Irreversible anonymisation may be used only where it satisfies the applicable obligation and relevant platform terms allow it. Replacing a name with an identifier is not, by itself, irreversible anonymisation or deletion.
If immediate targeted deletion from a protected backup is not technically feasible, residual information remains restricted and is not used for ordinary business activities. It is removed through the applicable lawful backup-retention process, and deletion instructions must be reapplied if a backup is restored. Backup arrangements do not override a mandatory deletion requirement. We can explain the relevant retention period or criteria on request.
12 Access correction and deletion requests
Contact info@swarnjal.com to request review or correction of information, withdraw an applicable consent, stop marketing, close an account or request deletion. State the request and provide only enough information to identify the relevant records, such as the email address or mobile number used with us and the service involved. An order reference is helpful where relevant, but is not required for every privacy request.
For deletion, use the suggested subject User Data Deletion Request. The detailed procedure is available at https://swarnjal.com/user-data-deletion/ and follows the same process described here. You do not need to create an account, make a purchase or provide a reason merely to request deletion. No fee is charged merely to submit a deletion request under this process.
We may proportionately verify identity or authority using existing information where practical. If you cannot use the original email address or account, contact us using the alternatives below. We will explain a verification problem and reasonable next steps rather than disclose or delete another person’s information on an unverified instruction.
For ordinary deletion requests, we aim to acknowledge receipt within 48 hours, provide a request reference and seek any necessary verification promptly. We act without undue delay and normally aim to complete eligible deletion within 30 calendar days of receiving the request. Thirty days is our service target, not a universal statutory deadline. Any shorter deadline or requirement for prompt deletion under applicable law or binding platform terms takes priority.
If necessary verification or justified complexity affects completion, we explain the reason and next steps without unnecessary delay. A pause or extension applies only where permitted. We confirm the action taken and explain retained categories, the permitted basis and the retention period or criteria, unless disclosure is prohibited. Providers processing on our behalf receive applicable instructions, with follow-up as required. We cannot directly erase independently controlled bank, marketplace or platform records.
Account closure may remove access to saved preferences or account history. It is not automatically an order cancellation or refund request and does not itself waive a valid warranty, refund claim, outstanding obligation or statutory right. Only the minimum information lawfully needed to administer such matters is retained.
For a complaint about our response, contact us with the request reference if available. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and redress them within the applicable legal period, including one month of receipt where that grievance-redress requirement applies. A complaint ticket is provided. Nothing prevents you from approaching a competent authority or exercising an applicable right that cannot lawfully be limited.
13 Children
Our purchasing and account facilities are intended for adults legally competent to contract. A parent or lawful guardian should place an order and manage any necessary communication for a child. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from people under 18 for independent account registration or marketing.
If you believe a child has supplied personal information inappropriately, contact us. We will assess the situation, take appropriate steps to restrict or delete unnecessary information and meet any applicable guardian-consent or other legal requirement. Avoid sending children’s photographs or other personal information unless genuinely necessary for the matter and lawfully provided.
14 Public content and external services
Content you choose to submit to a public review or comment area may be visible to others. Avoid posting private contact details, payment information or other unnecessary personal information. Any additional use of identifiable content outside its stated purpose requires an applicable lawful basis and any required permission.
Following an external link or using an independent service may involve that provider’s practices. Review its notice and controls. This does not reduce our responsibilities for information we control or providers acting on our behalf.
15 Related policies and changes
This Policy governs privacy handling. The User Data Deletion page explains the deletion procedure. Return eligibility, refund amounts and timing, warranties, shipping and contractual commitments remain governed by their applicable policies and the promises made for the purchase
Privacy requests do not replace the relevant order or service process. Neither this Policy nor a general commercial term removes mandatory privacy or consumer rights. Binding marketplace and platform requirements remain applicable to their subject matter.
We may update this Policy to reflect lawful changes in services, processing or requirements and will identify the updated version. Material changes receive any additional notice or consent required before the affected processing. An update does not retrospectively expand an existing permission, weaken an already submitted request or remove an accrued right.
